How do Money Station Value Gold?
Money Station Value gold based on its weight and the carrat of the gold.
This is why it does not matter what condition the gold is in.
What does carat or number markings mean?
Gold jewellery or bars will normally have a carrat and set of hallmarks.
The number markings refer to the parts per thousand of gold.
For example 9 carat gold could also be shown as 375. 24 carat gold would be marked as 999.

What does gold rate mean?
The gold rate is the amount Money Station would pay for a specific carat of gold on that day.
The gold rate is updated daily and is different for each carat.

Can I put gold on a Buyback or Premium Buyback?
Yes.
Gold is one of the most comon items used for the 28 Day Buyback and Premium Buyback Service.
In order to quality for a Premium Buyback the value of the gold would have to be in excess of £1000.
How do Money Station test gold?
The first test is to identify the carat and any halmarks.
Next we would weigh the gold (taking off the weight of any stones).
Based on the value we would then check you are happy for us to perform an acid test.
The acid test consists of making a small mark in a discrete area and placing a small drop of acid. If the gold is fake it will react with the acid.
