Technical Assistant job description
At Money Station we buy, sell and pawn second hand goods, offer cheque cashing and foreign currency exchange. We offer these services through our 11 stores, and at Head Office where we run our online sales department.
Your role will be to check items before they are posted to our customer, repair goods that come from our stores and factory reset all laptops prior to sale. We require someone who is confident in replacing screens on phones and or electronics as well as other hardware repairs.
Where possible we unlock smart phones prior to sale and we also provide a phone unlocking service in our stores. A strong knowledge of phone unlocking is desirable.
Responsibilities
• Replacing Phone/Tablet Screens and other parts
• Diagnosing and repairing consumer electronic devices
• Phone unlocking via software and codes
• Sourcing replacement parts
• Checking all electronic prior to dispatch
• Managing office stock and store transfers
• Helping to pack and post items sold online
• Resetting laptops and other electronics to factory settings
Skills/ Experience required
• Must have excellent technical skills
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Must be organised and able to prioritise
